Our identity begins with the vines, our unique indigenous grape varieties, and the soils that express the particular features of our region.

Ecology is the tool for respecting natural cycles, merging us into the earth. This is the wine culture that represents us.

PENEDÈS

Coming from the cava capital Sant Sadurní dAnoia, we grew up in this area where wine is part of the landscape and its people. It is the origin of the three unique varieties that give cava its special qualities. That’s why we remain faithful to our origins: the Penedès region.
The climate of El Penedès is typically Mediterranean, with hot, dry summers and mild winters. This unique territory south of Barcelona, protected from the wind and severe frosts by the majestic Montserrat mountain, is where all Kripta cavas come from.

THE THREE ZONES
OF PENEDÈS

Our grapes come from 150 plots with different microclimates and soils within the three areas of the Penedès: the coast, the central plain and the pre-coastal hills.

This great diversity allows us to produce wines with the identity of each area and to obtain the maximum expression, quality and character from each variety: Macabeu in the coastal area, Xarel·lo on the central plain and Parellada in the pre-coastal hills that rise to an altitude of 540 metres.

100% ORGANIC
FARMING

Under the expert vine-growing management of the winery, and thanks to our collaboration with vine-growers committed to our values and those of the region, we work 100 hectares of vineyards, 40 of which we own.
This human heritage is key to maintain a 100% organic and environmentally-friendly vine-growing that can give us the best grapes.

HARVESTING
BY HAND

The harvest is the culmination of a whole year’s work in the vineyard. That's why we harvest 100% of our grapes by hand, to prevent them oxidising and to preserve their quality and all their sensory characteristics until they reach the winery.
